We had thought that the time when Tom and Dave would go gallivanting across the country from one convention to another running the infamous “Whamathon” event was in their pasts. However, there will still be occasion that one or the other (maybe even both) will be attending some public gatherings and would love for you to stop and say Hi or play a game. Here’s a few that we know about already.
Tom Wham and Dave Conant Will Appear as Special Guests at the First Annual Birthday Celebration of E. Gary Gygax — EGG Con ! ! !
Tom and Dave will be in Lake Geneva at the end of July for EGG Con — the inaugural celebration of the father of RPGs. (Also, the father of the convention organizer. Heidi Gygax.) They will be running a modified version of the Whamathon! In years past, the duo would travel to numerous conventions throughout the midwest to run the Whamathon. It was basically one mega session of Tom Wham games back-to-back every hour while the convention was open. As the two have aged, they’re not quite up to that kind of schedule — now it will be in scheduled sessions from about 10am to 5pm each day of the convention. Still, that allows for loads of opportunities to sit and play one of the many Tom Wham games brought to the con. They’ll be sure to bring many of the favorites – new and old.

Phoenix Con III (Appleton, Wis.)
Tom and Dave will be at Phoenix Con again this year. They will be running a modified version of the Whamathon! As the two age, they’re not quite up to that schedule — now it will be in scheduled sessions from about 10am to 5pm each day of the convention. Tom Wham Will Appear as Guest of Honor at Gary Con XVII
Tom has once again been asked to be a Guest of Honor and join the throng that make their way to Lake Geneva, WI in March each year to Celebrate a Life Well Played – that of E. Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeon’s & Dragons and founder of Tactical Studies Rules (TSR). The exact dates have not been announced yet. Tom is considered one of the “Old Guard” at this convention since he worked at TSR in the very early days. Gary Con awarded Tom the coveted E. Gary Gygax Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020 for his…well, achievements over his lifetime (duh). Check back here later to see what events Tom will be running.
